It seems that there was no activity for quite a long time in development of GPSTk bindings to Python and other languages. The latest version of Python bindings (dated January 2005) does not compile with current GPSTk. GPSTk is really exciting by itself, but bindings would make it even better. Do you have plans to maintain them?

As far as I know there are no plans to maintain the Python bindings. They were sumbitted in the hope that future users might find then useful enough to pick up and maintain. The SWIG project was used to help automate the process of generating new bindings and updating old ones.
